MACOMB, IL - - The º£½ÇÆÆ½â°æ Cybersecurity Program, in collaboration with the Cybersecurity Enthusiasts Club, will host a virtual presentation titled "So What's it Really Like Out There?" featuring guest speaker Todd Haverstock from 4:15-5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, via Zoom.

Join Haverstock for an engaging look into the world of cybersecurity and IT leadership. Drawing on nearly 30 years of industry experience, Haverstock will share practical lessons on career growth, problem-solving and staying adaptable in a constantly changing field. With his Certified Informational Systems Security Professional and Certified Chief Informational Security Officer certifications, he'll offer guidance to students interested in breaking into cybersecurity and building the skills employers value most. The session will conclude with an open Q&A, giving students the chance to ask questions and gain personalized insights from Haverstock's extensive real-world experience.

Haverstock serves as Associate Chief Information Security Officer for Clinical Operations & Administrative Technologies at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Haverstock brings deep experience in IT and cybersecurity, especially in healthcare settings. At Blessing Health in Quincy, he spent 15 years with the organization—serving as Chief Information Security Officer for 10 of those years. In his current role at Washington University, he leads information security for clinical operations in the School of Medicine, while also overseeing administrative technologies across the university.

The º£½ÇÆÆ½â°æ Cybersecurity Program welcomes anyone in joining. This online event will qualify for 100 Leatherneck Purple and Gold points and is free of charge. Those interested will join at .
