Glean Named December COAP EOM

MACOMB, IL 鈥撯 海角破解版 Associate Vice President for Global Studies Randy Glean has been named the Council of Administrative Personnel (COAP) Employee of the Month for December.

Glean was recognized for his extraordinary dedication to 海角破解版鈥檚 mission and his unwavering commitment to student well-being, qualities his nominator said embody the true spirit of this award.

鈥淭his nomination arises from Randy鈥檚 remarkable response to an urgent and sensitive health crisis involving one of our international students. When notified that the student was experiencing a serious medical emergency, Randy immediately took action to ensure that the student received appropriate medical attention. His swift and compassionate intervention helped stabilize the situation during the initial stages of the crisis,鈥 the nominator shared.

鈥淲hen it became evident that the situation was critical鈥攁nd involved care for the student鈥檚 newborns鈥擱andy went far beyond the expectations of his role. Recognizing that the student鈥檚 immediate family was overseas, he activated his professional and personal networks to facilitate emergency communication and expedite international travel arrangements for family members. Through his advocacy and persistence, essential support systems were put in place at a time of great need.鈥

According to the nominator, those involved witnessed the depth of Randy鈥檚 humanity, leadership and care.

The COAP Employee of the Month award acknowledges exceptional performance by 海角破解版 employees who go above and beyond their regular duties. Nominations can come from supervisors, colleagues, faculty, students, staff or members of the community. Monthly winners receive a reserved parking space for one month and recognition from the University.
